Nick Dawson has been the manager of Clutton's
Northcote Road office since it opened (actually opened in 2006) nearly 6 months ago and already his high standards and wealth of experience is positively felt amongst his team and the Cluttons customers. Nick was head-hunted by Cluttons and brought with him over ten years worth of professional experience, firmly in the property industry in the residential, commerical and investment sectors. Barnaby and Penny, part of the Cluttons Northcote Road team, are both focused on the service aspect of the industry, as their manager insists that each enquiry deserves to receive a high standard of account management. Nick strives to maintain the company reputation and wishes to continue the Cluttons ethos of professionalism and integrity.
You only have to look at the Cluttons office on Northcote Road, to know that this agent is different from all the rest. Not content with waiting for the market to lift or customers to walk through the door, Nick is trying to create a more focused, aggressive approach to sell his clients properties. Nick makes sure his team focus on providing an unparalleled level of service and anticipate the next step, rather than be chased by their customers. It is more than important to keep all parties informed at all times - clarity and communication, Nick says are a big focus for any agent worth their salt. Nick uses his experience as a negotiator to secure the best price and the best buyer for his customers and motivates his team to work together, especially with that of their sister branch on Lavender Hill. Certainly Cluttons have a sizable staff covering the South West London area and Nick works to focus their efforts on selling properties swiftly and making the transaction as smooth as possible. Nick's team often host "Open House Days", where buyers are invited to view a house at any time, whilst the property is open for the entire day which seems to me an efficient way to expose the homes on his books to as many interested buyers as possible, thus achieving his aim to deliver a fast and high quality service. Nick tells me that it is the residential, 'general public' customers who are the ones that really matter to him; developers he says are always thinking with a short-term mentality, only interested in profit rather than finding the right fit. Nick's office concentrate on giving local buyers and sellers a great service in the hope that when they come to choose an agent in the future, they will return to Nick and his team at Cluttons.
Nick tells me that he loves Northcote Road, not least because he lives just 5 minutes away with his wife and two-year-old daughter, who he says will attend one of the excellent local schools when she is old enough. I can see Nick and his family already consider themselves part of the community and he alludes to this unique and very unusual-for-London feeling of community which happily includes the Northcote Road area in which he works. Nick says he often visits the wonderful Italian deli on Northcote Road and enjoys the open green spaces of Wandsworth. Cluttons were happy to take their place within this initiative, to develop and promote the businesses of Northcote Road and the campaign is happy to have the support of Nick and his team.
